Caller Reports Man Holding Down Girlfriend

The following is a selection of calls from Lake Forest to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from March 11 to March 15.

A caller said that the caller's stepson had held down his girlfriend, who had an infant in her lap. An 18-year-old man was arrested and placed in custody at Orange County Jail on $20,000 bail. Police had responded to the same residence last week responding to a call about a man attempting to stab himself in the stomach.

The call was made around  1:46 p.m., Friday at the 24300 block of Peacock Street.

Burglary alarm—audible. 4:20 a.m. Tuesday. 24400 block of Rockfield Boulevard.

Disturbance. 7:48 p.m. Monday. 21800 block of Michigan Lane.  Police responding to a disturbance call arrested a 54-year-old man, who works in sales, and placed him in custody at Central Men’s Jail on a $10,000 bail.

Terrorist threats report. 2:42 p.m. Monday. 24600 block of Jeronimo Road.

Investigate dead body. 10:52 a.m. Monday. 24900 block of Muirlands Boulevard.

Hit-and-run parked car. 8:12 a.m. Monday. 22800 block of Costa Bella Drive. Police responding to a hit-and-run call arrested a 46-year-old man, who works as an engineer, and placed him in custody at Central Men’s Jail on $100,000 bail.

Warrant arrest. 8:36 a.m. Monday. 25000 block of Farthing Street. A 27-year-old man was arrested for an outstanding warrant and was placed in custody at Central Men’s Jail with no set bail.

Hit-and-run misdemeanor. 5:29 a.m. Monday. Mercury Road and Rockfield Boulevard. Police responding to a hit-and-run call arrested a 34-year-old woman and placed her in custody at Orange County Jail, where she was cited and released.

Warrant arrest. 7:01 a.m. Monday. 24100 block of Larkwood Lane. A 24-year-old man was arrested for an outstanding warrant and was placed in custody at Central Men’s Jail on $15,000 bail.

Unknown trouble. 11:31 p.m. Sunday. 23300 block of Ridge Route Drive. 

Burglary report. 10:29 a.m. Sunday. 27000 block of Brighton Lane.

Traffic stop. 7:29 a.m. Sunday. Bake Parkway and Rancho Parkway.  A 60-year-old man who works in sales was arrested during a traffic stop and was placed in custody at Orange County Jail, where he was release under his own recognizance.

Vandalism in progress. 1:19 a.m. Sunday. Ridge Route Drive and Jeronimo Road.

Shots heard—no suspect information. 11:52 p.m. Saturday. Forest Meadow Drive and Normandale Drive.

Burglary alarm—audible. 8:39 p.m. Saturday. 23800 block of Mercury Road.

Disturbance. 3:41 a.m. Saturday. 22800 block of Taurus Lane. Police responding to a disturbance call arrested a 28-year-old man and placed him in custody at Central Men’s Jail with no bail set.

Traffic stop. 2:17 a.m. Saturday. Lake Forest Drive and Rockfield Boulevard. A 29-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop and placed him in custody at Central Men’s Jail with no bail set.

Disturbance. 12:21 a.m. Saturday. 19100 block of Sycamore Glen Drive.  Police responding to a disturbance call arrested a 25-year-old man, who works in construction, and placed him in custody at Central Men’s Jail with $15,000 bail.

Petty theft. 11:42 p.m. Friday. 22300 block of El Toro Road. A caller said two men stole two 18-packs of beer from On the Run and ran off on foot behind the Chipotle Restaurant.

Disturbance. 11:06 p.m. Friday. 21300 block of Forest Meadow Drive. Police responding to a disturbance call regarding a fight at a party arrested an 18-year-old man and placed him in custody at Central Men’s Jail with no bail set.

Petty-theft report. 12:54 p.m. Friday. 20000 block of Osterman Road. A resident told police that gas was siphoned from his vehicle.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 11:52 a.m. Friday. 26500 block of Normandale Drive. A caller asked sheriff's deputies to check for people dealing drugs in the community gym, saying that it has been an ongoing problem.

Investigate dead body. 9:25 a.m. Friday. 23200 block of Downland Road.

Vandalism report. 6:34 a.m. Friday. Ridge Route Drive and Serrano Road.
