Callers Report Unruly Groups of Children, and Other Cop Calls

A selection of calls from Lake Forest to the county Sheriff's Department from Aug. 26-30.

The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. The true nature of an incident often differs from what is initially reported. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.

Over the weekend, callers reported a number of young locals acting out as the new school year approaches.

At about 4:29 p.m. Saturday on the 23300 block of Cavanaugh Road, an area resident called police and reported seeing a group of 15 to 20 kids enter a neighbor’s backyard. The caller said the likely reason was that the neighbor's house is equipped with a swimming pool.

A few hours later that same night, at about 10:35 p.m. on the 22800 block of Leo Lane, a caller reported that a group of kids in the parking lot were being loud and hitting things with sticks.
