Coach Facing Child Porn Charges In Court

Arraignment scheduled for Lake Forest man accused of coercing two teenage girls into sending him pornographic videos.

A Lake Forest man accused of coercing two teenage girls into sending him pornographic videos appeared in a Newport Beach courtroom Friday.

Robert Vincent Peace was after a relative allegedly discovered child pornography on Peace's computer and turned it over to authorities. Forensic analysis reportedly turned up a stash of nearly 2,000 child pornography images.

The images discovered in January led investigators to a 13-year-old girl in New York who Peace is accused of instructing to send him sexually explicit videos of herself, eventually threatening to post them online if she did not continue to do so—then posting them anyway.

In March, investigators reported that additional analysis has turned up a 14-year-old girl from Virginia who he allegedly instructed to do the same. Peace  and  to the new charges.

Peace is facing a rash of charges, including lewd acts on a child under 14, using a minor for sex acts and distributing obscene material.

Authorities say he is a former coach for the Irvine-based Blades soccer club.

Peace is being held on $250,000 bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned June 4 in Newport Beach.

If convicted on all counts, Peace faces a maximum sentence of 26 years and six months in state prison and lifetime sex offender registration.
