Caller Witnesses Car Break-in Attempt

A selection of recent reports from the Orange County sheriff's blotter in Lake Forest.

At 6:06 a.m. Friday, deputies assisted firefighters near the El Toro Road and Raymond Way intersection. Paramedics responded to a man who reportedly passed out in a red Toyota truck after a seizure. The man was transported to Saddleback Hospital for treatment.

At 12:40 a.m. Friday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 24400 block of Cooper Cliff Court. The informant reported a group having a loud party and drinking alcohol.

At 10:18 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a missing juvenile in the 21700 block of Lake Vista Drive.  The informant reported that her 15-year-old-son ran away in the direction of Serrano Creek Park. His mother suspected he was on drugs.

At 8:22 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported vandalism in the 23100 block of Los Alisos Boulevard. The caller reported that a neighbor stabbed his car tire with an unknown object and the two men got into an argument. The neighbor drove away before deputies could arrive.

At 7:11 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a suspected drunken driver near the Canada Road and Serrano Creek Road. The informant witnessed a driver in a Honda running into curbs in an apartment complex. The driver reportedly took off after illegally parking the vehicle.

At 6:20 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a suspicious person near the El Toro Road and Trabuco Road intersection. The informant reported seeing two men smoking marijuana on a curb. There was no report of an arrest.

At 11:16 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a burglary in progress near the Rimhurst Drive and Rimgate Drive intersection. The informant reportedly witnessed someone attempting to break into a white Nissan Z with a slim jim. The person was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and red shorts.

At 7:18 p.m. Wednesday, deputies arrested a 32-year-old man in the 2000 block of Osterman Road. The man allegedly hit his wife. The incident occurred at the Siena Terrace Apartments. He was taken into custody with a bail amount of $50,000.

At 4:02 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a traffic hazard near the Lake Forest Drive and Trabuco Road intersection. The caller reported a manhole cover had gone missing and a hole was sinking into the road.

At 1:31 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance near the Jeronimo Road and Orange Avenue intersection. The caller reportedly witnessed at least four men drinking in front of a liquor store. There was no report of an arrest.
