Fights Dominate 4th of July Police Blotter

A selection of recent reports from the Orange County sheriff's blotter in Lake Forest.

At 1:56 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 24200 block of Okeechobee Lane. According to the report, the informant had gotten into a physical fight with her friend. The friend proceeded to take the informant’s purse and phone and there were reports of weapons in the residence.

At 1:33 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 22600 block of Dunkenfield Circle. According to the informant, a man was heard hassling a woman, who was screaming “get your hands off me,” the report said. A similar report came from another informant around 1:18 a.m., reporting loud music coming from the same area.

At 12:38 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 24100 block of Palmek Circle. According to the informant, 10 to 15 men were fighting in the street.

At 12:03 a.m. Thursday, deputies arrested a 22-year-old man near the Trabuco Road and El Toro Road intersection. The man was reportedly involved in a nine-person fight near Chase Bank. Police detained four subjects and the rest took off on foot. The man was taken into custody and there was no posted bail amount.

At 11:44 p.m. Wednesday a caller reported a disturbance in the 24100 block of Palmek Circle. According to the report, there was loud party in progress and multiple men were urinating in public.

At 11:33 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the first block of Bonita Vista. The report stated that a loud party was occurring with minors drinking alcohol and setting off fireworks. There was no report of an arrest.

At 10:43 p.m. Wednesday, deputies arrested a 23-year-old woman in the 26300 block of Towne Center Drive. The woman had reportedly gotten into a physical fight with her ex-boyfriend over a child custody dispute. The woman was taken into custody on $50,000 bail and charged with domestic violence.

At 9:17 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a firework violation in the 2100 block of Canada Road. According to the report, a man was spotted setting off firecrackers by a garage. There was no report of an arrest.

At 8:41 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance near the Market Place and Portola Parkway. According to the report, a transient man was heard yelling obscenities and threatening to kill people who passed by him.

At 2:22 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported reckless driving in the 24500 block of Via Del Rio. According to the report, a boy riding a minibike on a horse trail ran a stop sign.
