Man Assaults Wife As She Picks Up Daughter at Daycare

A selection of recent reports from the Orange County sheriff's police blotter in Lake Forest.

At 11:38 p.m. Friday, a caller reported a burglary in the 23800 block of Rockfield Boulevard. According to the report, the informant discovered her $500 iPod speaker had been stolen after a Zumba class. Police were advised of the situation and responded to take a report. 

At 11:26 p.m. Friday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 200 block of Chaumont Circle. The informant reported that six minors had jumped the fence to a pool area and started to party. The minors eventually drove off in a Hyundai, according to the report.

At 8:16 p.m. Friday, a caller reported reckless drivers near Lake Forest Drive and Trabuco Road. According to the report, several Ford Mustangs and a white Camaro were seen racing eastbound on Lake Forest. The informant estimated that the vehicles' speed topped 100 mph.

At 8:01 p.m. Friday, a caller reported suspicious activity near the El Toro Road and Northcrest Drive intersection. The informant reportedly saw three young men preparing to fight. According to the report, one man pulled his shirt off and threw it to the ground in apparent anticipation. 

At 5:42 p.m. Friday, deputies arrested a 27-year-old man in the 24200 block of Los Alisos Boulevard. The man reportedly assaulted his wife by pulling her hair and slapping her as the caller was picking up her daughter from daycare. The man was taken into custody and has since been released on a bond.

At 4:28 p.m. Friday, deputies were called to assist firefighters near the Cherry Avenue and Second Street intersection. According to the report, a group of juveniles were carrying an intoxicated 14-year-old who was unable to walk. Firefighters were responding to the call. 

At 1:50 p.m. Friday, a caller reported indecent exposure in the 24900 block of Muirlands Boulevard. According to the report, the informant saw a 20-something man wearing a black T-shirt and ballcap drive by in a white Jeep and expose himself

At 3:54 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a traffic hazard in the 20000 block of Lake Forest Drive. According to the report, there was a large group of skateboarders crossing the street from the , some running through traffic.
