Porsches, Lamborghinis Race at Triple-Digit Speeds

A selection of recent reports from the Orange County sheriff's blotter in Lake Forest.

At 11:21 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported suspicious activity in the 21200 block of Calle Sendero. The informant reportedly saw a group of minors tying a person to a post and taking off on a trail. Deputies later released the tied-up person to their parents. 

At 10:58 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a firework violation near the Cherry Avenue and Trabuco Road intersection. According to the report, several subjects were setting off fireworks on a basketball court in the Cedar Glen condo complex. 

At 9:43 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 26300 block of Town Center Drive. The report stated there was a loud party with a lot of underage drinking in a nearby apartment.

At 3:12 p.m. Sunday, deputies assisted firefighters in the 24900 block of Avenida Veraneo. According to the report, authorities were needed to assist with a combative drunk man who was armed with a hammer

At 8:56 a.m. Sunday, deputies arrested an 18-year-old-man in the 26000 block of Trabuco Road. According to the report, the man was allegedly using a hammer to break into vehicles when a local resident chased him down and detained him until police arrived. The man was taken into custody on $20,000 bail.

At 11:13 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 21200 block of Bake Parkway. The informant reportedly witnessed people standing in a group at the bar yelling profanities and vomiting

At 6:37 a.m. Saturday, a caller reported reckless drivers near the El Toro Road and Santa Margarita Parkway intersection. According to the report, a group of Porsches, Nissan Skylines and Lamborghinis were seen racing faster than 100 mph toward the I-5 freeway. Most of the vehicles had paper license plates, according to the caller.

At 5:28 a.m. Saturday, a caller reported a suspicious person in a vehicle in the 21800 block of Lake Vista Drive. According to the report, an allegedly intoxicated man exited a vehicle and proceeded to urinate on his neighbor's lawn. The men then began to walk in circles around his vehicle. There was no report of an arrest.

At 9:28 p.m. Friday, a caller reported a disturbance near the Lake Forest Drive and Rockfield Boulevard intersection. According to the informant, there was a 10-person fight in the middle of the street as a result of a car accident. The vehicles involved motorcycles and a green sedan.
