Gun and Ammo Stolen; Patron Ignores Bar Tab

A selection of recent reports from the Orange County sheriff's police blotter in Lake Forest.

At 3:07 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a petty theft in the 26500 block of Town Center Drive. The report stated that two girls were detained for stealing from Walmart. The minors were reportedly cooperative and were later released to their parents. 

At 8 a.m. Monday, a caller reported a burglary in the first block of Mallorca. A 9-millimeter gun and some ammunition was reported stolen from the caller's vehicle. 

At 2:28 a.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance in the first block of Casa Verde. The informant said people were loud and consuming alcohol nearby.

At 5:23 p.m. Monday, deputies arrested a 32-year-old man in the 20700 block of Lake Forest Drive. The report said a drunken man was refusing to pay his bar tab at the Los Cabos Cantina and was detained by police and cited. 

At 6:20 a.m. Monday, deputies were called to assist a citizen in the 23000 block of Village Drive. The informant was speaking with deputies about a party where the parents reportedly supplied alcohol. The informant was upset because their 17-year-old daughter had gotten extremely intoxicated and went to the emergency room because she fell. Deputies were en route to speak with the hosts of the party.

At 5:17 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 23700 block of Los Alisos Boulevard. The informant was reportedly disturbed by several minors who were screaming and acting rowdy in a playground area at El Toro Park. 

At 3:24 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a petty theft in the 26500 block of Town Center Drive. The report stated that two boys were detained for stealing from Walmart. The subjects were reportedly being cooperative. 

At 2:59 a.m. Sunday, deputies arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of car theft in the 22700 block of Jubilo Place. The man was suspected of stealing a key and taking off in a Nissan Altima. Deputies chased the suspect across backyards before they caught him. He was taken into custody with a bail amount of $100,000. 

At 8:57 p.m. Saturday, a caller reportedly heard a firearm discharge in the first block of Toulon Avenue. The informant reported perhaps hearing four to five gunshots but was not sure if they were just illegal fireworks. 

At 8:20 p.m. Saturday, deputies arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of driving while intoxicated near the Highpine Road and Silverbay Drive intersection. The man was pulled over during a DUI checkpoint and had a warrant out for his arrest. He was taken into custody and later released. 

At 2:10 p.m. Friday, deputies arrested a 28-year-old man near the Raymond Way and El Toro Road intersection. The report said the man was seen chasing his girlfriend in front of the post office and had earlier pushed her onto the ground. He was taken into custody; bail was set at $50,000.
