Three Gunshots Heard and Other Cop Calls

A selection of reports from the Orange County sheriff's log of calls to police in Lake Forest.

At 12:14 a.m. Thursday, a caller reportedly heard a firearm discharged near the Ridgeline Road and Santiado Canyon Road. The caller heard three gunshots and saw someone running through the apartment complex toward Canyon Oak. A second informant also reported hearing a firearm but did not see anything.

At 11:49 p.m. Thursday, deputies arrested a 26-year-old man near the Serrano Road and Ridge Route Drive intersection. According to the report, the man was driving on a suspended license and had an excessive blood alcohol content. He was taken into custody and there was no posted bail amount.

At 6:17 p.m. Thursday, deputies reported a narcotic violation near the Muirlands Boulevard and Dylan Avenue. Deputies reportedly pulled over a vehicle and found less than one ounce of medical marijuana. There was no report of an arrest.

At 6:08 p.m. Thursday, deputies arrested a 36-year-old man in the 22100 block of Cedar Pointe. According to the report, the man got into a heated physical argument with his girlfriend. Both were possibly drunk or on narcotics, according to the report. The man was taken into custody on $500 bail.

At 3:11 p.m. Thursday, deputies were called to investigate a person down near the Muirlands Boulevard and Ridge Route Drive intersection. The report stated that a heavyset man with his pants down had passed out in the bushes. It was not known if the man was breathing and firefighters were dispatched.

At 10:56 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported suspicious activity in the 22400 block of Silver Spur. According to the report, the informant smelled a strong odor coming from a woman’s apartment and suspected she was smoking narcotics.

At 6:25 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 24700 block of Calle Tres Lomas. The informant was upset that someone was pushing a food cart and blowing a horn in their neighborhood.

At 5:47 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance near the Rockfield Boulevard and Lake Forest Drive intersection. According to the report, minors were cursing and throwing bottles.

At 8:57 a.m. Wednesday, deputies were called to investigate a person down near the Trabuco Road and Cherry Avenue intersection. According to the report, a man had passed out on a sidewalk near a school. Firefighters were called to the scene.

At 5:27 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported suspicious activity near the Acorn Way and Sequoiawood Way intersection. According to the report, four or five men were smoking some kind of narcotic near a pool. There was no report of an arrest.
