Man Punches Basketball Opponent In the Face, and Other Cop Calls

At 10:44 p.m. Sunday, police assisted a citizen on the 25600 block of Baffin Bay Drive. The caller and three children were reportedly stuck inside the Smart Stop self storage facility and could not get out. Police were needed to assist with letting the subjects out. 

At 10:17 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a suspicious person in a vehicle on the 21300 block of Countryside Drive. The informant reportedly saw a man step out of a light-colored truck and momentarily pull his pants half-way down. Police conducted a search of the man’s vehicle. 

At 7:12 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported suspicious activity on the 24500 block of Bendricon Lane. According to the report, five men with possible gang affiliation were tagging walls and possibly a few cars. The subjects got into a white Chevy Caprice.

At 4:14 p.m. Sunday, police were called to assist a citizen on the 21900 block of Annette Avenue. According to the report, a man’s mentally-challenged 21-year-old son was approched by two older men who wanted to take modeling photos of him. The informant felt this was very inappropriate and could possibly be a sex crime. 

At 1:27 p.m. Sunday, police arrested a 44-year-old woman on the 22600 block of Shadow Lane. According to the report, the apparently intoxicated woman crashed through her neighbor's garage door in a Ford Fusion.

At 11:52 p.m. Saturday, police were called to assist firefighters on the 23000 block of Village Drive. According to the report, a man had stopped breathing after falling down a set of stairs and hitting his head. The man had reportedly been drinking and needed CPR.

At 10:52 p.m. Saturday, police arrested a 34-year-old man on the 26700 block of Rancho Parkway. The man was taken into custody for allegedly punching someone in the face during a basketball game at 24-Hour Fitness. The man was released from custody on a bond. 

At 10:49 p.m. Saturday, police arrested a 19-year-old man on the 23100 block of Lake Center Drive. According to the report, the man was at a rowdy party in the Irvine Suites where a large group of young people was suspected of doing drugs and fighting with bats.

At 9:43 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance near the Canyonwood and Peachwood intersection. The informant reported a group of people were throwing eggs at passing vehicles.
