Don't Know What 'Vaping' Is? OCSD to Host Series of Presentations on E-Cigs

The sheriff's department is joining county health and educational officials to explain th ins and outs, especially how they may affect students.

Don't know much about e-cigarettes? Want to get law enforcement's and health agencies' position?

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department, in partnership with the Orange County Health Care Agency and the Orange County Department of Education, is hosting a series of free, public presentations on electronic cigarettes and their use by students in local schools.

Topics will include the various types of e-cigarettes and vapor pens; how they work; their prevalence in schools; health concerns; and prevention tips.

Presentations are intended for adults only.

  • March 10 -- Dana Point at Dana Hills High School, 33333 Golden Lantern 
  • March 19 -- Laguna Hills at Laguna Hills Community Center, 25555 Alicia Parkway 
  • March 25 -- Lake Forest City Hall, 25550 Commercentre 
  • March 27 -- Rush Park Auditorium, 3121 Blume Drive 

All presentations are scheduled from 6:30–8 p.m
