Man Arrested after Allegedly Hitting Parked Car

Deputies took the driver into custody on suspicion of drunk driving.

Deputies arrested a man on suspicion of drunk driving early Saturday after he allegedly smashed into a parked car and fled the scene.

At 2:07 a.m., the dispatcher for Lake Forest received several calls from the neighborhood on the 22500 block of Little Drive. The callers reported hearing a traffic crash in the street, said Lt. Steve Gil of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies found that someone had smashed into a parked car and then drove off. The report as of Saturday morning was still incomplete, but the responding deputy stopped Adam Erik Eldred, 23, who was driving a black, two-door sedan, Gil said.

Eldred was arrested and remains in custody as of late Saturday morning, according to jail records.
