Meet Your Lake Forest Firefighters

Fire stations in Orange County are opening their doors to the public this month.

Meet your local firefighters while learning how to protect your family and property during two Orange County Fire Authority community events.

Visit the county's Regional Fire Operations & Training Center Saturday for safety tips for all ages and live fire demonstrations.

The following Saturday, stop by the Lake Forest fire house on El Toro Road to greet your local firefighters and take a peek around the station.

ORANGE COUNTY FIRE AUTHORITY OPEN HOUSE
Where/When: 1 Fire Authority Rd., Irvine; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 8.
Why go: A variety of activities and demonstrations will be available to teach family and property safety. Activities for all ages.

FIREFIGHTER MEET AND GREET
Where/When: Orange County Fire Station-19; 23022 El Toro Rd., Lake Forest; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 15.
Why go: Meet your Lake Forest firefighters during a special open house.
