Mysteriously Moved Vehicles, Gunshots, Petty Theft and Other Cop Calls

A selection of calls from Lake Forest to the county Sheriff's Department from Aug. 19-23.

The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. The true nature of an incident often differs from what is initially reported. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.

It wasn't me, a caller cited for illegally parking his vehicle near the intersection of Jagger Street and Dylan Avenue told police.

He said that someone else had moved his vehicle down the road and parked it there illegally. Evidence in the area suggested that the mysterious person moving vehicles likely used a car jack to do so, he proposed.
