Shady Traffic Directors, Wife Hits Husband, A Variety of Drunks

A selection of reports pulled from the Lake Forest police dispatch log.

At 11:53 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to a welfare check on the 21000 block of Calle Caminata. According to the report, the caller's daughter was at home and said that people were outside the home threatening her and throwing bottles at the residence. The girl's mother requested that police assist the family.

At 11:06 p.m. Wednesday, police assisted an outside agency on the 25100 block of Front Street. A 50-year-old man was found who had apparently passed away in a residence above a self-storage office. Police reported that the death appeared natural.

At 9:35 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a family disturbance on the 19400 block of Rue De Valore. The informant requested assistance with their 12-year-old son who was throwing and breaking things instead of doing his homework.

At 6:18 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance on the 2400 block of Hurst Drive. A woman in her 40s appeared heavily intoxicated and seemed to be attempting to kick in a neighbor's front door.

At 6:10 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a family disturbance on the 2100 block of Ashley Lane. According to the report, the caller's 18-year-old son had used drugs and was fighting with her husband.

At 2:07 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported an act of vandalism on the 2700 block of Town Center Drive. The informant's car had just been keyed, according to the police report.

At 8:46 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported traffic hazard near the intersection of Trabuco Road and Peachwood. According to the report, motorists were upset about the way construction workers were directing traffic around an area of road construction. The caller told a police dispatcher that the workers nearly caused an accident and did not seem to know how to direct traffic properly.

At 9:17 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a disturbance near the intersection of Rockfield Boulevard and El Toro Road. A man was seen choking a woman in a vehicle. After the woman declined to cooperate, police detained both subjects.

At 12:26 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported someone who appeared drunk in public near the 23800 block of El Toro Road. According to the report, a man in his 30s drinking a beer in front of the USA gas station appeared to be intoxicated.

At 8:46 p.m. Monday, a caller reported domestic violence taking place on the 26800 block of Sommerset Lane. The informant reported he had been hit by his estranged wife. It was unclear if weapons were involved.
