Bass Fishing: How Voting Went to Choose New Councilman

A round-by-round look at how City Council voted to come up with its newest member.

Here's a look at how the voting went during the special meeting of the Lake Forest City Council on Tuesday in which it appointed David Bass as the successor to Peter Herzog.

Bass will serve through the end of 2014.

The council did a straight vote for five rounds, then went to a tier system in which each council member named their first, second and third choices in order, and councilmen voted from the available pool in each tier.
