Pacific Symphony to Play Pittsford Park for Final Summer Concert

As part of the Symphony in the Cities series, the classical musicians return to Lake Forest on Sunday evening to close out the season.

Classical music will wrap up the city's last summer concert Sunday in .

The Pacific Symphony will perform in the park at 7 p.m., following 90 minutes of its pre-show entertainment, an interactive musical experience for children.

The concert is the last in a series hosted annually by the city at Lake Forest parks.

Attendees are encouraged to bring picnics, blankets or chairs and lounge in the park as the music plays.

Featuring guitar ensemble Triada, the musical program will include light Spanish-flavored and American pops and classical tunes, plus popular patriotic songs.

During the pre-performance activities, dubbed the Musical Playground, children will have the opportunity to make an instrument, play a drum, meet a musician and learn about conducting from symphony maestro Carl St.Clair.
